Full Dry Groom service is designed to provide your cat with expert care in a gentle and stress-free environment. Ideal for first visits or regular appointments, this comprehensive grooming session includes brushing out the dead undercoat to reduce shedding, carefully removing minor knots and tangles, and applying a conditioning dry foam shampoo to leave your cat’s coat refreshed and healthy. This service ensures your feline friend feels comfortable, looks great, and stays in top condition. Perfect for keeping your cat happy, clean, and beautifully groomed!
Lion Clip service is a practical solution for cats in need of a full-body clip, leaving fur only on the head/mane, legs, and tail. This service requires at least 2 hours and is not a fashion statement but a necessity for specific situations. It is suitable for cats with heavily matted or pelted coats that cannot be saved and those who suffer from hairballs or respiratory issues.
Before booking this service, consider how it can benefit your cat’s health and comfort. The Lion Clip helps prevent painful matting, reduces excessive shedding, minimizes hairballs, and can even improve breathing for cats with respiratory issues. This grooming solution ensures your feline feels lighter, cleaner, and more at ease, especially in warmer months.
Teddy Cut service is a great option for cats who don’t need a full shave but would benefit from a shorter, tidier coat. This groom maintains an even, plush length—between 1/4 inch to 1 inch—leaving your cat looking cute and feeling comfortable. It’s important that your cat’s coat is mat-free before booking, as this cut requires smooth, detangled fur to be done safely and effectively.
This is an ideal choice for cats who shed a lot or struggle with keeping clean, especially during warmer months. The Teddy Cut helps reduce shedding, prevents minor knots, and makes at-home maintenance easier between grooms. It’s a great middle-ground for pet parents who want their cats to stay fluffy without the hassle of daily brushing or heavy coats.
Kitten Introduction to Grooming service is designed for kittens under 6 months old with no mats or knots, providing a gentle and relaxed introduction to their grooming routine. This 45-minute to 1-hour session includes brushing and combing, face and ear cleaning, and a refreshing dry foam shampoo with conditioner. Optional claw clipping is also available to complete their pampering experience.
This service helps your kitten become comfortable with grooming tools and processes, setting the foundation for a lifetime of stress-free grooming sessions. Perfect for keeping your little one happy, clean, and looking their best!

Matted coat disclaimer
All cats can develop mats. Matting and, even worse, pelting cause discomfort to your pet, pulling on the skin and restricting air circulation. The cat may become aggressive and dislike being stroked or touched. Their behaviour can change because of the constant pain they are experiencing.
Skin conditions are not visible due to a matted coat, which, after clipping, can appear as irritation, redness or soreness.
Cats’ skin is very thin and great care is taken when shaving out mats. However, there is a risk of nicks and cuts, patchiness and hair loss, uncovering existing skin conditions. You agree to the risk involved during this procedure.
Mittens Grooming will not be liable for uncovering any preexisting conditions caused by a matted /pelted coat and any subsequent medical treatment that may be required because of coat removal.
Clipping a cat’s coats can result in hair regrowth failure and changes in colour and texture. It can take up to 6 months or more for a full regrowth.
Please be aware that this procedure will drastically change your cats appearance and sometimes it affects their behaviour as well as behaviour of other pets in the house towards them.
Your cat will need extra protection in the cold winter months and in the hot summer months, especially if it is an outdoor cat.
Consent to remove the matted coat on understanding the above problems can happen.
Repeated matting and pelting of the coat cause unnecessary stress and ill health to your cat.
Prevention is the best way forward, so we will recommend a regular grooming schedule and advise on home grooming techniques to keep your cat knot and matt-free.
